*Eternal Perspectives:* The Record: Believing the Record #10

?I remember being in high school, and at the end of every semester, we would have what is known as ‘Report Day.’ On this very special day, parents and guardians are invited on the campus to speak to teachers concerning their child’s performance for that quarter. Some parents were pleased, while others disappointed. Every subject was graded and the student’s results and average released in the form of a report card. Throughout the year, students would write exams and have an idea of their results. However, Report Day represented the moment of truth. If the students hid their academic performance from their parents, a greater power kept an accurate record. This record was most dominant. It brings to light, that which is hidden. It holds the truth.

?God has a record of our lives in His Book. Everything is written. He is very meticulous, and outlines the details with unmatched accuracy and precision. He searches and knows us, even our hidden parts. There is coming a great Report Day where the Father will uncover His records of those who dwell in His Son; those who truly have eternal life by our living in this semester of life called time. The Word of God is His record. It bears truth and we can find our life in it. It allows us to judge our own selves to see if we meet God’s standard.

?The Word of God has proven to be effective in my
life and is powerful to form Christ in me. It works in changing a heart and sanctifying a soul. Once I believe this Word of truth and live by it, I need not fear what this record will show. May the record show that we presented Christ at all times and that we were faithful servants and diligent workers. May the record say well done.

*Reflection*
Today, let us consider that God has made a way, through Jesus, for us to be as He is. The Word of God is bearing witness of our lives showing whether or not it is a reflection of Christ. Let us remember, that as Christians we have the power to live holy and see the Father’s face in peace.
