??‍♂??‍♀At this time of the year, all the secondary schools in my country are focused on the most exciting multi-sports athletic championship event that has almost every student fixed to any medium that brings coverage of this five day event. For those who can physically be at the event, they make whatever sacrifices possible to be at the National Stadium to scream and cheer for their favorite school, without fear of becoming almost voiceless afterwards! The winning of any race and the breaking of any record is all it takes for everyone to erupt in exciting pandemonium and celebration. It really is an exciting time! ?And schools that come out as champions are even more fervent to parade their school colours and celebrate the victory, because they know that they will go down in history as the school that won for the year! ? The joy of a race won, the celebration of a record set!!

As we join the excitement of celebrating and cheering on our favorite school in the races, it is more than important for us to take the time to stop and reflect on the race that we are all apart of, the race that focuses on the salvation of our own souls. What is the Prize? Eternal Life in Christ Jesus ?

??‍♂??‍♀ The difference with this race is that it is a one-time race; it does not perpetuate like the schools that come back every year to the athletic Championships with the hope of winning the title. Once we leave this life and have run the race, that’s it, the Record is final; there will be no chance to come back again to run. There is an excitement and celebration in God’s heart as we believe in the sacrifice that Jesus made for us and are saved by His Life! There is a great cloud of Witnesses in Heaven that breaks forth in exciting pandemonium and celebration as our souls make it to The Finish Line.

??‍♂??‍♀As you go about your daily tasks, just remember that there is a greater race to win and there is a greater celebration to cheer you on to THE Finish Line that really matters. The Record is set! Just join in the excitement of belief in Jesus Christ who wants to live His Life in you as The Real Champion!
