Eternal Perspectives : Soul Food Part 1
? God created our bodies and souls and knows exactly what it takes to sustain them. He created food for both our bodies and souls.
He told Moses that Man shall not live by natural food or bread ALONE; but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Deuteronomy 8:3
?God delights in speaking to or feeding His children. Today, He is also feeding people His Word through Jesus Christ speaking through His 5 fold ministers with the present truth that is proceeding from His heart. Ephesians 4:11-16
?Our soul (the spirit of our mind with it’s will and emotion) is the part of us God created to connect with Him to serve the purpose for which we were created. If we are fed with, informed and governed by the Spirit and Word of God our spirits, souls and bodies will worship God in truth as we discover and fulfil our God ordained purpose.
?We must also be aware that Satan delights in feeding our souls with that which sustains spiritual death or corrupts and disconnects us from the purpose and will of God.
?Thank God that through Jesus Christ our souls can be saved or preserved blameless and holy in Christ and kept alive by the Word of God.
?As a saved teenager I remember the day I suddenly became aware of an intense and deep spiritual hunger. It was unbearable. I just knew I could no longer continue the way I was.
I had accompanied my parents to a fasting service as I have always done but something was different about that day. The Word of God seemed as if it was been spoke directly to me. I wanted more and more and my appetite for the Word of God kept increasing. Since then I am conscious that that is what keeps me alive in God. This hunger led me to where I could get more and more of the good Word of God for my soul.
?God promises to fill the hungry with good things. Luke 1:53. However, we must desire Him, and esteemed His Word more than our natural food.
?Today if you are not saved your soul must be first made alive unto God and then fed daily with the Word of God or it will be lost. Choose to give Him your life today.

*Reflection:*
The pure Word of God is the soul food your soul needs to live and fulfil the purpose of God. Are you being fed?
