Eternal Perspectives – Hardheartedness is a choice!
? If I deny that I am depressed when I really am depressed, I only lengthen the season of my depression. If I reject the truth when it comes to show that depression is ruling my heart, then I am merely deceiving myself, and am in denial of the truth.

?I have watched Christians go into long seasons of emotional darkness, or, just sin publicly and reproach the name of Jesus, all because they refuse to accept the true state of their hearts and minds as God reveals to them.(Phil 3:15) A season like this just proves that we are not fully embracing the Life of Jesus Christ; or we rejected the Word. Sin cannot and does not survive in a heart that is fully yielding to Christ within; or that seeks after God.

? King David had to accept that the adultery and murder that he committed was proof that God’s judgement of the true state of his heart was right all along. “Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.”
Psalms 51:2‭, ‬4 KJV

? If I find that I am struggling to deal as Christ Jesus wants me to deal with someone; or, if it is hard to love someone, then I need to be honest about it.

? Trying to cover the real state of my heart with religious disciplines, activities or even my gifts cannot stop this revelation of my heart and mind and I will not prosper in God. Proverbs. 28:13.

?Even if I do not actually live out something in the open, if I do it in my heart and mind then I will have to give an account of it to God.

? Repentance is to humble ourselves before God and man; *choosing to turn away from sin and obey God. This is the only cure for hard heartedness.*

?If you are not saved you need the new heart given at salvation to replace the sinful, hard heart of stone that you have. Ezek 36:26. With this new heart, you are enabled to choose to serve God without any struggle.

*Scripture in Focus:*
?Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Phil. 3:15 KJV

?He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Proverbs .28:13

?But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Romans 2:5

?A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezek 36 26 KJV

*Reflection*
A hard heart is restless. Is your heart at peace in the presence of the Lord and people?
