The Invitation
“Take a moment and live eternally.”
Several years ago back home I was asked to minister. As soon as I was asked
I heard the song “Take a moment and live” in my spirit, and knew that was the topic
of the message I would share. I prayerfully set about to prepare and Sunday morning
seemed to have come too quickly. I felt the tremendous overflowing love of God all around us.
During the message I saw a middle age man who was a family friend of ours who had not
been to church for years and the Lord let me know he was one of those He wanted to invite to
“Take a moment and Live Eternally” as the chorus of that song said.
Our friend responded to the altar call and shortly after he developed a terminal
illness and died. During this time he had several visits to ensure that he was ready,
denied himself of anything between his souls and his saviour.
The truth is that we will live eternally with God or Satan. God has graciously given each
of us the time, chance and opportunity to choose.
It only takes a moment to fully surrender your life to God and receive the life of Christ.
The gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to do that to those who respond with a contrite,
broken and sincere heart.
Salvation is receiving the Zoe, or God Kind of Life, that comes with an inate ability
to walk in obedience to God. ❤Those who have received this free gift should respond to
God’s love and live each moment because and unto Him.
