?In Part 1 (#70) we looked at the fact that God made natural circumcision the sign of his covenant with Abram a.k.a. Abraham and all of his descendants including Jesus (who was circumcised too). Jews esteem this practise even higher than the Law of Moses. However, this was only a shadow and type of New Testament or spiritural circumcision; where God personally circumcises the entire male and female flesh or body, cutting out the law of sin and death! Colossians 2:10-11
? Abraham is the father of the Seed, Jesus Christ, who is now the cardinal head or founder of a new race, a new Adam who is by nature the offspring of God.
?When I was taught as a new Christian that the best salvation through Jesus does is to take me back to be as Adam was before he fell into sin, I remember being terrified that Satan might bring me into bondage again. Later on, revelatory writings, preaching and teaching by holy Prophets and Apostles let me see that in salvation, God makes us as Jesus, the 2nd Adam. 1 Corinthians 15:45-50
I came to see that at salvation God crucified us with Christ in a flash. He installed the new law of the Spirit of life in our bodies when He raised us up with Christ. As with Jesus this new law masters our bodies leaving no room for the law of sin and death to operate in us. It is our souls that can now choose to take our bodies into sin by refusing to suffer or deny itself for for Christ’s sake.
? The first major contention in the mostly Jewish New Testament church surrounded the issue of natural circumcision. The General Council in Acts 15 quickly rebutted that as NOT being a New testament doctrine or practice. Undoubtedly, even the uncircumcised Gentile Christians were already enjoying the benefits of the circumcision of the flesh.
? *Those of us who have been born again now have bodies that prefer holiness! Our bodies have been circumcised and are quickened or made alive unto God. They can be preserved blameless until the day of the Lord if we choose to walk in obedience to the Spirit of God in us!*

At salvation, God did an awesome work of circumcision in our bodies to make it His temple? Are you aware that you will have to give an account to Him for the deeds done in it?
