Eternal Perspectives:
*New Creation Realities. New Man, New Heart*
? Most of us have sang the song “Into my heart Lord Jesus” and “create in me a clean heart” hundreds of time. From a child I too sang these songs without meaning it or even looking into the words.
However, there was a day that I came to see that God didnot jump in and out of my heart and create a new one everytime I sinned.
?In fact He didnot need my old heart. It was stony, dark, damaged, smelly, sinful, desperately wicked, deceitful and couldnot be fixed and was in fact useless to Him.
? *You see the heart of the matter has always been the matter of the heart.* Our spiritual heart is the seat of our emotions in which our souls and spirits are housed.
? *In the New Creation God does not heal or fix our old heart. He destroys it when we surrender to Him.* He then makes us completely new and installs a brand new heart in us. Ezekiel 36:26. This new heart can both house and be fused or joined to His Eternal Spirit. “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit”.1 Cor 6:17. This makes us one with Him as we are now in Him and He is in us.
?Sin is abounds today like never before and the hearts of men are getting desperately wicked. The only hope for all of us is the salvation of our souls which is receiving a new heart; the life of Jesus Christ. In this we will have the divine nature of God; an inate ability to please God; Grace!
? The new man with a new heart sins by choice. There are some persons who have wilfully not kept their new hearts clean but have defiled it and taken their bodies; God’s holy temple into sin. This is dangerous as our new hearts must be kept clean, healthy, and be fed or sustained by the Word of God in order not to infect or defile others and cause us lose our souls.
? God’s Word must be hid in our hearts through obedience in order to keep it pure and holy. We are encouraged to guard our heart with all diligence so the issues that flow out of them be those things that honour God.
