The Record: Believing The Record #2.
?I often reflect on my early years as it was during that time that I was exposed to church and things spiritual.
We were told about God everywhere and on various church and school platforms e.g. Sunday school (sometimes morning and evening), we had children’s talk in morning service, Sunday night service, Bible studies, prayer meeting and youth meetings.
I recall being “saved” every year at our crusades although I never quite made the connection between that event and Godliness. The most I recall is that tears flowed freely at the altar but why we cried, I could not tell. Little did I know or dream that it was God’s will, wish and desire to live in me.
?Obviously God was unfolding the record which He had already written from eternity, so every platform, every step and stop was just part of His well orchestrated plan. He surely watches over His purpose in our lives. Whether it was an absent father or mother, a resourceful Godfearing grandmother, a kind, caring, loving or even strict teacher, hardships, deprivation or lack, God has guided our lives. I can think of eight near misses during childhood growing up (times I could have died or be seriously injured – but God!).
?Looking back I can now see that all things do work together for good in our lives. It was God who led me to a time and place where I willingly chose to surrender my whole life to Him. This proved to me that God preserves His purpose, sealing us up as it were until Faith (His Holy Spirit) comes and leads us to choose to accept, believe/ expereince the Record that eternal life is found only in His son Jesus Christ.
This awesome experience is begun with God and we will have now and all of eternity to explore it.
This is an experience I earnestly desire everyone to have.

*Reflection*
God is actively at work bringing us to belief. Every twist and turn should be a reminder that He is in control of our lives. We need only to choose to yield to His promptings and we will be safe and end well. Will You?
