The Record: Clothed With Humility

?Humility is to be totally vulnerable to God. Recently I woke up with that feeling, and immediately I knew that that was how Jesus felt each day. He approached each new day taking nothing for granted, but took the time to go to the Father to receive what He would dispense to him for that day; the comfort, assurance and guidance that he needed from God, his Father!

? This can some times lead to us feeling uncomfortable but our Father-God wants us to feel it because that feeling also communicates to us the sober reality of our existence here on earth. We live in territory that is largely very hostile to us; and that is full of great need and distress that can only be met by working with God; and having God work in through and with us.

? Everyone who were ever saved had to allow the grace of God to bring them to that place of total humility. They had to be poor in spirit to receive of God. No one was ever saved until they got to that place. This is how I received the Spirit of Christ as a teenager. I had to give up my pride and the plans I had for my life; and some things I loved to God and trust him to show me his plan for my life. I later lost some of my friends who were not ready to embrace God, but I also made some new friends.

?Many times, people see what you are wearing and form conclusions about you even before they talk with you. When we are clothed with the humility of Christ people can see it without taking to you. We usually dress in the way we want people to relate to us we must also choose to be clothed in humility so persons can relate to the God in us.

?Being clothed with humility is to love God, be willing to serve others, and submit to those who are over us. It is to exercise ourselves to walk in a conscience void of offenses towards God and man. Acts 24:16. A humble heart is content with the will of God

?If we are not clothed with humility we are clothed with pride which is offensive to both man and God. We must remember that God actively resists the proud and only gives grace to the humble.
