The Record: The Humble Believes God. Part 2
? Our Father God desires us to humbly believe and experience Him in His Word daily.
We live in a day when the Bible (the written expression of God) and true ministers of the Word of God are at our finger tips. It is therefore so easy for us to take this for granted.
The truth is that, to believe God is to believe His Word. This is because God’s Word is God. It reveals His heart, mind and plans. It is spirit and life when it is read, or heard as revealed by His Holy Spirit.The life and spirit of Jesus is also experinced through those who humble themselves and believe or obey God.
?We cannot rely on our intellect to comprehend the Word of God.
To understand it, it must be revealed by His Holy Spirit and through ministers He has ordained to minister His Word.
Ephesians 4:11-16
?The pure in heart will see and experience God in His Word. This requires a loving and humble disposition of heart to God, His servants, everyone including our enemies
?Over the years we have come to reverence and respect the Word of God as law for our lives. It is more precious than anything we have or could ever hope to have. This is because God and His Word are one!
?We must be willing to not only hear Him through others but spend quality time to prayerfully study the Word of God, expecting God to speak to us. The bottomline is that we must humble our heart to God’s Word to truly believe/obey Him.
? *Today, let us pause, humble our hearts before God and ask Him to give us a heart that is receptive that respects His Word. Let us ask Him to give us a fresh passion for His Word.*
?If you are not saved you need to receive the wonderful Holy Spirit, who is able to lead you into the understanding or experience of God’s Word so you can fulfil the purpose for which you were created.
