*Eternal Perspectives: The Record- Strength for the Humble*

?As with Jesus in His earth walk, every truly humble heart wakes up each day knowing that he/she cannot please God unless he/she receives strength from God; which is His grace (favour, influence and divine enablement).

? Like Jesus, we also face many temptations and evils daily. He was tempted in all points; in more ways than we will ever be tempted. However, He learned how to humble himself to get the help and strength that He needed for Himself and others. God raised Him from death so that we can daily experience His saving strength.
“Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Heb. 7:25‭

? Today, as we humbly look to God by the life of Jesus Christ in us He will help, keep and save us to the uttermost.

?There are times we may be put in humbling situations that may cause us to appear helpless or weak. For instance, for 14 years as a husband, I was not employed; but God’s provision was sufficient to make up for that. He used that season to teach me how to serve unconditionally, in voluntary full time ministry and anointed me to be a blessing to others. I learnt to draw on His help and trust in His strength and provision alone. When we humble ourselves under God’s restraints, He shows us His secrets, inspite of how things may seem to others.

? I also learnt that although things will not always go the way we desire; humilty always leads us in God’s wisdom and guides us in the way of peace. The truly humble always rests and is content with God’s decisions.

?May we never forget that God lives with those who are are of a humble and contrite spirit and daily revive their hearts and spirits. The truly humble receives easily from anyone; and in any way God chooses to use to strengthen Him or her. Humble yourself and receive God’s help, grace and strength today!

*Reflection:*
Have you been acting independently of God, that is pride. He knows best. Why not humble yourself and receive the amazing wisdom and strength of Christ today?
