*Eternal Perspectives: The Record and Eternity*
?When the rich young ruler said “Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He knew that there was a requirement he had to meet in order to obtain eternal life. Although he had much possession there was still a void in his life. He had finally met someone who he thought could show him how to fill it. St. Luke 18: 18-27

?God has placed something in man that will cause him to know and be reminded of who he is or where he came from. He placed eternity in our hearts. He has also declared that eternal life is found in His son, Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:11-12.

?With the wonderful experience of salvation we come to know for sure that we are of the Father and the Father is in us. It is then our calling to walk as sons of God who are not of this world but are eternal beings, new creations in Christ fulfilling an eternal purpose.

?Like the rich young young ruler we must be willing to give up everything for eternal life by which we can boldly declare that Jesus Christ is the way to the Father and it is only through Him can men be saved.

? I was 11 years old when I accepted Christ. I went to Open Bible Church evening service where I was placed in the front row with all the children. After Pastor Somers had preached, he had an altar call. My feet did not touch the floor, I was airlifted straight to the altar… and I was out for a few minutes. I woke up to find my mother wiping my face with her handkerchief. I said “what happened?” and she said ” Don’t worry honey when you get older you will understand. She was not necessarily speaking of age, but that as I mature in God I would better understand what happened to me.
I have since learnt obedience, grown in God and now desire nothing but the Word of God. My meat is to do my father’s will. The record declares that God has given us eternal life, that shines out of darkness and this life is in Jesus Christ. For His light to shine we must obey every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Every word of God is true.

Have you considered that accepting Christ as your personal saviour and living a life of obedience is the only way to have a record you will not be ashamed of?
If not will you accept Him today?
