Eternal Perspectives – Rejoicing In Heaven
?Have you ever considered how happy God is when our ways please Him.
He loves His children and actually rejoices over us with joy and with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 KJV
However, although His love never changes He can be grieved about us when we sin and provoke His wrath and judgement. (Gen. 6:6).
?A very recent sermon I heard reminded me of the prodigal’s son’ return home and how much his father greatly rejoiced and gave him the best robe, ring and shoes and had a party or feast for him much to the disapproval and upset of his jealous and unforgiving older brother. St Luke 15:11-32
?The posture of our heavenly father God is the same as the that of the prodigal son’s Father.
He covers us with garments of salvation and a robe of righteousness ( Isaiah 61:10) and rejoices when He welcome any lost or backslidden child home and *yes there is joy in heaven in the presence of the angels over that one sinner.* A Party?
?Maybe you know someone who have wandered away from God. Do you feel like God feels about them and have you been praying that they return home to Him?
?Maybe you have been one who ran or wandered away from God. Be reminded that
He waits with open arms to receive you today if you humble yourself before Him. He is now giving you a chance to repent.
Genuine repentance is preceeded by Godly sorrow which shows God you are truly sorry and willing to turn away from sin. This removes guilt and condemnation and restores your fellowship with God in a single moment.

*Is it well with your soul now, while it is called today?*
Is God your heavenly Father for real and is He rejoicing over you? Are you making Him smile or is He grieved or saddened because you are rejecting His love and your ways displease Him? He wants your soul ro be well and safely at home in Him.
