Andrew and Donnette Norman

Andrew is a minister of the gospel and a teacher by profession. He is a graduate of the Buff Bay Primary School, Titchfield High School, the Trinity Theological Seminary of South Florida and the Jamaica Theological Seminary. He taught previously at the St George’s College and currently serves as Senior Guidance Counsellor at the Wolmer’s Trust High School for Boys and as an Advisor to Aglow International’s St. Andrew Chapter

Donnette has been a teacher at the Wolmer’s Trust High School for Girls for the past 27 years. Prior to this she taught briefly at the Melrose Primary and Junior High School. She is a graduate of the Frazer Basic School, Cascade Primary School, Mount Zion High School, Holmwood Technical High School, Knox Community College, the Mico University College, the University of Technology, Jamaica, the Jamaica Theological Seminary and the University of the West Indies. She is also the Founder and President of ‘Christian Teachers in Action’ and the ‘Christian Youth Leaders in Action’ Training Programme. She currently serves as a part time Lecturer at the Jamaica Theological Seminary and a Board member of the Student Christian Fellowship and Scripture Union (SCFSU).

Both Andrew and Donnette are the Founders and Presidents of Passion and Purity. They are trained Guidance Counsellors, Marriage Officers and co-founders of ‘Marriage is Honourable’, a family and marriage enrichment programme. They were ordained ministers of the gospel at Bible Teachers International in 1997 and give much credit to the Church of God of Prophecy, Bible Teachers International, the Baptist Church, Interschool Christian Fellowship and University and College Christian Fellowship (ISCF,UCCF) for imparting virtues that have also greatly shaped their character and values. They also wish to salute Jim and Elizabeth Elliot, whose life experiences and work have helped to inspire this ‘Passion and Purity’ movement.
Andrew and Donnette have worked with youth for many years in the context of church, school and community. They have a passion to see young people’s creative abilities released for the glory of God. They believe that in a day of shifting moral standards, the answer lies in thankfully celebrating past victories, learning from past failures and wholeheartedly turning to God, the Source of true wisdom, for continued guidance and direction. They fully agree with the words of Colin Powell who said, “What could be more important than equipping the next generation with the character and competence they need to become successful?” This they have found to be imperative for success, but impossible without God’s help.”
